Caregivers should feel like Ohana. Our caregivers form a special bond with their clients. We take the time to learn about our clients, their interests, habits, preferences, and more to determine which caregiver not only has the skills and experience to meet their needs but who would be an excellent fit for them. We want clients to welcome their caregivers and feel comfortable and secure with their care. We offer the types of assistance that seniors require to maintain their independence and remain in their homes.
Companionship
HMC HomeCare staff can provide social and emotional support to older adults who may feel lonely or isolated. We interact through activities such as conversation, shared hobbies, or simply spending time together. Our goal is to help clients maintain their mental and emotional well-being and improve their quality of life.
Personal Care
We provide a range of services to help seniors with daily self-care activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and using the bathroom. The goal of personal care is to help clients maintain their independence and to prevent or delay the need for more advanced levels of care.
Medication Reminders
While there are several ways that medical reminders are done, it is important for caregivers to find a system that works for the person they are caring for. Our caregivers work with clients to develop methods that yield a consistent schedule to ensure that all medications are taken as directed.
Meal Preparation
Planning and preparing meals can be time-consuming and handling sharp knives, heating on stovetops or microwave ovens may not be comfortable for an elderly client. HMC HomeCare staff can offer support in the kitchen by either assisting with cooking or by preparing meals in advance.
Light Housekeeping
A clean house feels good and is safer than a messy one. Your caregiver will be there to assist with cleaning up after meals, changing linens and laundry, dusting, sweeping, and vacuuming. The HMC HomeCare staff is there so clients can be comfortable and live independently as possible.
